On
Tuesday, July 9, 2013, Texas Monthly published an article announcing the future
of Governor Rick Perry, as he will not be running for re-election in 2014. Rick
Perry has been the longest running governor in Texas history since 2000. According to Texas Monthly, Rick Perry
has exhausted all of his political power, as he cannot shake down the lobby any
more. He has lost votes among the republican voters in recent surveys. As
governor Perry’s announced that he would not run for governor, he fails to
mentioned anything about his future plans.
The
big questions are, what is Rick Perry’s future? And what is he going to run for
if he is not going to run for governor? If he decides to run for president
again he will be faced with a lot of obstacles. Even though Rick Perry was
fortunate to govern Texas in a period that the state experience an economical
growth and lower numbers of unemployed citizens than the national average,
there are lots of things that governor Perry did in his career as a governor
that will be the make it or brake it, decision when some decide to vote for him
in the future for whatever he runs for. What ever the future brings to the
famous Governor Rick Perry, citizens of Texas and the country will have their
eyes upon him.
I
recommend reading this article, as it is important for us as citizens to be
able to be informed of why and what will be the future of future former
governor as this may affect us.
